The PM will make a statement to the House of Commons announcing the full details of a four-step roadmap out of UK national lockdown.
He’ll also announce four new tests the government will use to decide whether the country can progress through each stage. All this will be published on gov.uk when the PM starts his statement in parliament.
At the same time Public Health England will publish its long-awaited data on vaccine efficacy — how successful the jabs appear to be at reducing hospitalization, death, but also transmission — which was integral in forming Johnson’s roadmap.
No. 10 is cautioning that this is only early data and it will continue to be studied in the weeks ahead, but it will be fascinating to see the preliminary numbers on the Oxford/AstraZeneca jab.
