Idukki: Biju Radhakrishnan, one of the key accused in the Solar Scam case, approached the court stating he was denied parole. Biju complained that he wasn’t given parole for 5 years. The Human Rights Commission demanded explanation from the jail DGP on the issue. Biju Radhakrishnan, who was punished for life imprisonment, has requested for parole on March 10. A person punished for lifetime imprisonment can be given parole on completing 2 years in jail. The complaint given to the Human Rights Commission by Biju’s advocate states that though the probationary officer has given a favourable report, the one given by the police was against granting parole.
