11 female athletes and associate head coach Melissa Batie-Smoose have filed a lawsuit against the Mountain West Conference for violating Title IX and First Amendment rights. The conference allows SJSU to participate despite having transgender player Blaire Fleming on the roster. The female athletes come from four schools in the Mountain West Conference, including Brooke Slusser. The lawsuit also mentions the alleged plot between Fleming and a CSU player, Malaya Jones, to throw the match and hurt Slusser. A lot is going to be exposed as a result of the lawsuit, including the actions of the defendants, who include coach Todd Kress.
