Chapter 35 VA benefits are available to the children, spouses and surviving spouses of veterans that have a VA disability rating of 100% P&T. VA benefits for dependents can include education and training opportunities to eligible dependents of certain disabled veterans. The program offers up to 36 months of education benefits. Additionally, the dependent must be between the ages of 18 and 26. In some cases, it is possible to start before the age of 18 and continue after the age of 26. Furthermore, getting married does not end eligibility for these benefits.
