Thai Style Beef Pasta
INGREDIENTS:
200 grams spaghetti cooked to almost al dente
150 grams beef sliced (to velvet beef, marinate with 1 tsp of baking soda for about 20 minutes and rinse with water for a few times)
3 bird eye chili pounded
2 clove of garlic pounded
½ onion chopped
1 tbsp dark soy sauce
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp fish sauce
1 cup of Thai Basil
1 tbsp cornstarch slurry
3 tbsp vegetable oil
A bit of pasta water
STEPS:
(1) Heat oil and stir fry together bird eye chili, garlic, onion and beef until beef no longer looks pink.
(2) Add in dark soy sauce, oyster sauce, fish sauce. Stir until well combined.
(3) Add in the spaghetti, a bit of pasta water and stir. Then add in cornstarch slurry, mixed well and quickly stir in Thai Basil and turn off the heat.
(4) Garnish with red chili.
