Moi University striking medical lecturers have vowed to continue with their strikes until the institution pay them the over Sh200 million that it owes them for their enhanced clinical allowances backdated to two years ago.
The university on Wednesday shut down the College of Health Sciences, Schools of Medicine and Dentistry indefinitely following students unrest on Tuesday.
Dr Davji Atellah, who is a registrar at Moi University and National Advisory Council for Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentist Union(KMPDU) yesterday said that the university had been dismissive over the payment of the allowances over the past two years.
