Henshin-a-go-go, baby! Viewtiful Joe 2 is a direct-to-disc sequel of the first game and adds a new character to the mix: Silvia! She packs pistol-pom-poms and a mean kick! The reels in this game far more openly parody famous movies and the baddies are just as goofy (and hard to understand) as always!

I've only played this one once before... I think. So it's almost like a blind run for me. At least I cut my chops on the first Viewtiful Joe, recently! It turns out that Joe as a whole is a lot more, uh... "better" than Silvia, but I try to give her a fair amount of screen-time, too! Her pistols allow her to attack from a decent distance and she can slow-em down to increase their damage and size! She also gets a new power introduced in the series, "Replay". It allows you to multiply a physical hit three times! It'd double-sided, though, 'cause if you get hit the damage is three times back to you!

Anyway, this game is much like the first! Fun, crazy, stylish action! It's VIEWtiful~!

The first movie has us going through a rip of Jurassic Park! I'm still getting used to the game and the two-character action, so forgive me my trespasses. I find Silvia fun to play, especially with her long range bullets, but she soon pales in comparison to Joe who can Mach Speed his way into multiple slow-mo rock on combos which give you a TON of V-Points to spend in store!

The boss is the only true dinosaur we meet, and he seems very reminiscent of another dino we met in the first game~ But with a healthy dose of "Sarge".

Pardon the length of the video, there are a TON of intro movies and the like to go through, too!

A couple technical notes:

This is being played on a Nintendo Wii, a system backwards-compatible with GameCube discs, with component cables. The Wii has the same hardware built-in as the GameCube. Progressive Scan was also enabled in-game so that a clear image is available with no deinterlacing.
