I decided to take my 3rd generation Toyota Tacoma out in the snow to see how well crawl control works with the stock tires. It turns out its about 50/50 in using it on this hill, some spots it worked and was needed and other spots momentum was more successful. I'm sure with proper snow tires that would have helped but we get so little snow it's not something I need. This is technology that some people like and some people don't like. If you are going offroad you should know how to drive and use the gas and break, is one side of the argument, the other side is seeing how well the truck can adapt to the setting that it is in. I like using it sometimes and other times I like seeing what I can do, so it's great how advanced technology has become. If you are a beginner to the offroad settings, this can be a helpful system to use if you become stuck and don't know what to do. I wouldn't rely on this system, but it is very cool to have!
