"Muddugare Yashoda" is a beautiful song about little Krishna and his mother Yashoda written by fifteenth century poet Annamaacaarya. This legendary poet, a devout Krishna bhakt lived in Tirupati and wrote ten of thousands of songs which were inscribed on copper plates and stored in a vault inside the Tirupati temple, where they remained hidden until the twentieth century. This song was given new life by several composers and started to gain popularity from twentieth century.
This song was featured in 2017 Malayalam movie "Devayaanam" directed by Sukesh Roy and had actors Malavika Menon and Kailash on lead roles.
Ahalya is proud to present our own choreographed version of "Muddugare Yashoda" by our tiniest dancers. These little ones took their baby steps into the world of Indian classical dance only few years ago and their performance has already won huge fan following. The outstanding performance of these kids combined with this amazing song on naughty little Krishna is sure to take to to a mesmerising world.
