Baltimore County fire and union officials disagree over firefighter shortages and out-of-service equipment. According to the union that represents firefighters, a shortage of 120 firefighters is causing major overtime costs. Baltimore County Fire Department officials said the department is short by about 50 firefighters. This comes as a newly released report by Maryland Occupational Safety and Health discovered serious issues that the Baltimore County Fire Department said it is addressing.
