Thanasis Vollas & Christos Ioannidis - Experimental Cartographers
In this action a group of 10 hikers will walk a specific route – path and will create their own road map. On the map will note points of interest, feelings and ideas deriving from the environment and anything that will attract their interest. In this route there will be some stops for rest where they will be able to utilize their time for their artistic purposes. During the stops we will accompanied by experimental traditional Greek music in order to accompany visual arts with music. Hiker will be provide with a plate with a map sheets. The sheets will show only the outline of the route. Participants will be asked to note their own points, notes, draw a sketch, or write a text, whatever they think is useful information or worth mentioning. At the end I will gather the maps, scan them and place them the one on the top of the others, creating a final complete piece of art.
