More than a year after Father Stan Swamy’s death, an American digital forensics firm, Arsenal Consulting, said that the digital evidence upon which the case against Fr Swamy was based was all planted by a hacker. The report says that the documents upon which the National Investigation Agency made its case were all planted.
A total of 44 documents are reported to have been planted on Father Swamy’s computer between July 2015 and June 2019. Among other material, these allegedly planted documents involve letters speaking about a conspiracy to eliminate PM Modi in a “Rajiv Gandhi style assassination.”
Previously, the same digital forensics firm have found evidence planted on the devices of other co-accused in the case.
