This is a low-effort method for candied chestnut, that involves no peeling or reheating, yet achieves a silky, translucent end product that comes pretty close to the classic Marron Glace. It won't be as super saturated as the 4+ day ones, but for the minimum amount of time or effort involved, it's something I make every Christmas. They are well-liked wallet-friendly gifts for the winter holidays, and great on cakes, ice cream, oatmeal.
