The Kernow Sat-1 satellite is being designed, built and launched in Cornwall to monitor the health of our coastal areas and provide bespoke data to local community groups and academia that will help identify wave height, areas of sea pollution, and the best place to plant a kelp forest for carbon sequestration.
Using satellite technology to continue to help make Cornwall a thriving, and more sustainable, place to live.
In this hangout, we share more about our open source buoys and how they will gather and report data received from Kernow Sat-1 to support marine conservation efforts around the coasts of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
