Ingredients for Boneless Chicken Curry with Peas Recipe–
Boneless chicken pieces - 1 LB
Green peas fresh or frozen (thawed) - 1 cup
Oil - 1/2 cup
Bay leaves - 2
Green Cardamom - 4
Cinnamon sticks - 2 small pieces
Black peppercorns - 1/2 tsp
Onions chopped - 1 large size
Garlic & Ginger paste - 2 tbsp
Salt - 1 tsk/adjust as per taste
Red chili powder - 1/2 tsp
Black pepper - 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Garam masala powder - 1/2 tsp
Kasuri Methi - 1 tsp
Plain whisked yogurt - 1/2 cup
Tomatoes chopped - 2 medium
Green chillis chopped - 2 - 4
Almond paste 1 tbsp (10 almonds soaked, peeled, and ground with 2 tbsp water to form a smooth paste)
Boneless Chicken Curry with Peas Recipe:
Take 1 LB boneless chicken piece and cut it into bite-size pieces.
In a pan, pour 1/2 cup oil .
Add 2 bay leaves, 4 green cardamoms, 2 small pieces of cinnamon sticks, 1/2 tsp black peppercorns.
Saute all these on medium heat for up to 30 seconds.
In the pan, add 1 large-sized chopped onion and saute for 5 to 6 minutes on medium heat. Fry until light brown.
Add 2 tbsp ginger & garlic paste and saute on low heat for 2 minutes.
Add chicken pieces in the pan and stir fry for 5 to 6 minutes on high heat until the chicken turns light golden.
Add 1 tsp or as per taste salt in the pan.
Then, add 1/2 tsp red chili powder, 1/2 tsp black pepper, 1/2 tsp turmeric powder, and1 tsp coriander powder. Cook on a medium flame for up to 2 minutes.
Take 2 medium-sized chopped tomatoes and add them to the pan.
Also, add 2 to 4 chopped green c and 1 cup thawed fresh or frozen green peas. Saute for 2 minutes on medium flame.
Fry until tomatoes become mushy and then add 1/2 cup plain whisked yogurt and 1 tbsp almond paste. Continue cooking for 2 minutes on low heat.
Sprinkle 1/2 tsp garam masala powder and stir well and then add 1 cup water and again mix well.
Cover the pan and cook for up to 12 minutes on low heat.
Uncover the pan and cook until you get the desired gravy.
Add 1 tsp Kasuri Methi and give it a stir.
