Around the late 2000's, Gameloft created the "Gameloft HD" umbrella, with the idea to create console quality games on the go. Many of their IP's were often seen as "Knock-offs" of already established console games, but the ability to play them anywhere was a real treat at the time.

Games like "Modern Combat" (Call of Duty), "N.O.V.A." (Halo), "Gangstar" (GTA) and "Asphalt" (Need for Speed) were some of their most popular series, alongside many other IPs as well as some officially licensed games such as Splinter Cell and Spider-Man.

In this new series, I will be tackling Gameloft HD in their prime, covering some of the best games they created between the late 2000's and early 2010's. Hopefully this series will spark some nostalgia in you, much like it did for me when recording them! 😁

This footage was recording using the Screen Recording feature on a Samsung Galaxy S9. Unfortunately most of the Gameloft games have been removed from both the Android and iOS stores, so you need to download an APK online to get it running today.

I did also try using an Android Emulator on my PC so as to map the on-screen controls to a controller / KBM, but I was running into way too many mapping issues that I ended up scrapping that idea. Plus, they were designed for touch-screens anyway, so it's more authentic this way 😅
