The former Pakistan Primer Minister, Imran Khan, has appeared in court in Islamabad on terrorism charges that could threaten his political future and career.
The cricketer turned politician was charged after he condemned police and judiciary officials after the detention and alleged torture of his close aide.
He was removed from office after a no-confidence vote in April.
