LIVE: XVI Ordinary General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops
The Second Session of the XVI Ordinary General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops is taking place in Rome from October 2 to 27, 2024, under the theme: “For a Synodal Church: Communion, Participation, and Mission.”
This gathering seeks to deepen the Church’s understanding of synodality and to explore how to foster unity, collaboration, and mission in the modern world. Bishops, clergy, and laity from around the world are convening to reflect, pray, and discern how the Church can better embody the call to be a more inclusive and participatory community. Through a spirit of listening and dialogue, the Assembly aims to illuminate the path forward for a Church that walks together in faith, led by the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
