For a gasping economy like ours, a beaming hope of revenue increase is cheering news. The three tiers of government are set to share 1.959 trillion naira in July. This is nearly triple the 786.161 billion naira shared in June and more than triple the 655.93 billion naira in May. At a meeting by the Federal Account Allocation Committee, the body will allocate revenue to the three tiers of government, based on the sharing metrics. Out of this, statutory collections make up 1.7 trillion naira of the revenues, followed by 293 billion naira from VAT and 12 billion naira from electronic money transfer charges
