This is our sixth year cleaning Cat Lake located near Squamish. Visitors to Cat Lake, you should be ashamed of yourselves. In two dives, we pulled out 256.5lbs of garbage. That's 454 beer cans, 79 beer bottles, 25 sunglasses, and 45 balls. The rest of the garbage includes everything from camp chairs and umbrellas to cameras and speakers. Overall, we have removed over 1,000lbs of garbage from this lake over the past six years and it is not slowing down. Each year we are seeing an increase.
