Netflix has found a way to prevent password sharing by requiring monthly log-ins from home Wi-Fi networks. If a user fails to log in once every 31 days, their Netflix account could be blocked. This change is being introduced as the company recognizes that password sharing is a major problem that has been eating into subscription revenue. Despite the fact that their terms of service limit usage to households, they acknowledge that this change may affect members who share their account more widely. To address this, members in many countries will have the option of paying extra to share their Netflix account with non-household members.
