In this video We go pick apples and make 2 tasty apple liqueurs.
One Christmas one, and one with a ginger kick.
Recipe:
Hand picked apples - we went with about 8 apples per container.
Sugar
Water
Vodka
Cinnamon sticks
Ginger
Method:
Add about 8 sliced or diced apples to your container
Pour over vodka or other clear alcohol (about a liter)
add ginger or cinnamon depending on which type you make
Put in a cool dark place for 1 month
After a month retrieve the containers and add syrup + water to the mixture
Syrup recipe:
I went with about: 100 grams of sugar to 180 grams of water.
After I had made the syrup I added a ratio of 1/1 of more water.
So if you made 1 liter of syrup you mix in another litre of water.
Pour over this syrup-water-mixture in a ratio of 1/1 with the apple vodka.
This way you should end up with 2 liters of Apple Liqueur.
After you've mixed the 2 it is ready to drink, however the liqueur will benefit by being put in a cool dark place for another month to really let the mixture settle and combine.
