The Tandy TRS-80 model 2000 was the first attempt of Tandy to produce an MS-DOS compatible personal computer. There was a 80186 under the hood which made it a lot faster than the IBM XT! But, Tandy always made things the Tandy way, so expansion cards were not XT compatible and neither was the software. You had to buy the Tandy 2000 versions of SuperCalc, Word Perfect, Microsoft Flight Simulator, Multiplan etcetera. In this video I show you my Tandy 2000 with a green VM-1 screen and an on-board memory expansion of 128k. I take it apart to show the way it was assembled and to show you that weird motherboard. I try some IBM compatible software on it and finally give a small demo of Deskmate II. Have fun!
