Suan Luang Rama IX Park in Bangkok stretches over 500 acres and is an oasis in the middle of a bustling and robust city. In a city of flashing lights, towering high rises and endless streets side streets in a concrete jungle, Suan Luang Rama was a nice escape. On this walk, I entered from the south entrance and slowly made my way to the Marigold Gates. During that journey, I passed the Queen's Garden, the Chinese, English and Japanese Garden. As well, I passed the Ratchamangkhala Pavilion.

On this journey, I only conquered about 40% of the park, but it was a scenic section of the park. As I left the park and headed towards the Srinagarinda Night Market, I noticed there were playgrounds, a few restaurant stalls and of course, a lot of open green space, so there is plenty to explore on my second visit. Reflection Thailand's laidback vibes, people were picnicking about on the grass, facing the lake and in general just having a relaxing time. It was a serene moment in an otherwise chaotic city. Take an afternoon or two and just explore and decompress. Cheers and safe travels!
