After using a 60w fluorescent bulb, to using the Marineland LED aquarium hood, I needed something that would provide a good source of lighting for my fish and plants (which require moderate to high lighting) I decided to give this a try even after all the negative reviews.
This works perfect for my 10 gallon aquarium. I purchased the 17" hidden LED off of Amazon for about $30
