There are subtle hints through costume as to who the main villain really is. You will notice that each of Evelyn Deavor’s outfits feature mainly a black and white combo, at times consisting of varied patterns. They tend to be patterned as either alternate vertical bars or a white top with black speckles and black pants with white speckles. These outfits seem to reference static on a television screen. This tells us, whilst not telling us, that Evelyn is the mastermind behind Screenslaver, who is shown to use signal static and black and white static patterns to hypnotize victims throughout the movie.
