This is a short synopsis of the documentary on the history and heritage of the Kwa Mai Mai market. It gives some insight on the migrants who came to the City at the turn of the 20th Century who refused to be perpetual labour migrants but instead started trading in their cultural goods and services. This is a story of the birds of passage who refused to fly a way from a city that pretended they did not exist.
