The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has made a new website called UDGAM. This website helps people find money they forgot about in different banks. The RBI Governor, Shaktikanta Das, started the website on Thursday. At first, people can see if they have any forgotten money in seven banks. By October 15, 2023, they can check in all banks. UDGAM means "Unclaimed Deposits Gateway to Access Information." It helps people get back their money or use their accounts again. The RBI talked about this website in April 2023. The RBI wants people to know that more and more money is being forgotten, and they are trying to remind people to take their money back. The RBI worked with Reserve Bank Information Technology Pvt. Ltd. (ReBIT), Indian Financial Technology & Allied Services (IFTAS), and banks to make this website.
