In June we stayed in Buxton, heart of the Peak District and enjoyed some leisurely days. A laid back town, peaceful town, with more important days as a spa-town in the past, embracing the future with investments in flowering parks and renovations of ancient buildings. Plenty of small authentic shops line up in and around the car free center and quaint cafés and restaurants offer all kind of local specialties.
