In this interview, as part of our Business Leaders Series, our Managing Director Michelle Connolly sat down with ShinAwiL founder and CEO, Larry Bass.

ShinAwiL, set up in 1999, are one of the largest and most successful independent production companies in Ireland. They have created programming in the entertainment, factual entertainment, live event programming and most recently, scripted drama genres.
Some of the most recognisable titles they are behind includes The Apprentice, Dragons’ Den and MasterChef Ireland.

In our interview, Larry discusses his journey and provides an inside look at the world of television production management as well as sharing how their team is looking to expand. He also shares how production management changes depending on the project, the importance of team management and also the benefits from more television content having a focus on filming in Northern Ireland and Ireland as well as the advantages for businesses from this.
