Nilupak or Mashed Sweet Potatoes is another variation of the classic Nilupak na kamoteng kahoy or mashed cassava or yuca. Another variation of this Filipino snacks is nilupak na Saba. This classic delicacy is cheesy, creamy & tasty best to serve for snack or dessert.
This recipe I used sweet potatoes aside from better taste and has natural sweetness it’s also loaded with a lot of vitamins and protein that’s why they consider this root crop as superfoods.
I also used room temperature unsalted butter than the usual Star margarine because butter is more healthier than margarine especially if you are going serve the food cold.

Cheesy Mashed Sweet Potatoes with Purple Yam/ Nilupak na kamote with Ube & Cheese
4 lbs or 2 kilograms Sweet Potatoes ( Cut, Peeled & boiled until soften)
1/2C Unsalted Butter room temperature
1/4 tsp or pinch of salt
Grated Cheese I used Filipino eden cheese but you also cheese any cheddar cheese of your choice
Plain Mixtures
1/2C Sweetened Condensed Milk
1tsp Vanilla Extract
2Tbsp White Sugar ( you can add more as you like)
Purple Yam Mixtures
1/2C Ube Condensed Milk ( you can also use the plain sweetened condensed milk plus a few drops of purple yam flavorings
2 Tbsp White Sugar ( you can more as you like)
