Mike’s imparts his world class forward play knowledge in a clear and easy to follow scrum warm up activity. This drill is a progression on the 2v2 Sink Extend and Catch Up Drill and will develop the body position, general strength and core stability required for good scrummaging.

00:0:34.000 - Sink, extend and catch up motion is controlled with players keeping their heads up, hips below shoulders, straight back, strong scrum position and small steps
00:0:44.000 - Allow the attacking prop and lock to drive forward with control
Instructions:
#1. Progression on the 2v2 Sink Extend and Catch Up Drill.
#2. Five players are required.
#3. 2 v 3 scrummaging with the attacking pair positioning against a front row.
#4. The two props required to defend do so in a passive manner allowing the pair to drive forward with control.
#5. Sink, extend and catch up motion is controlled with players keeping their heads up, hips below shoulders, straight back, strong scrum position and small steps.
#6. Swap positions and repeat.
