Albi is a commune in southern France which is situated northeast of the city of Toulouse. It is located on the River Tarn which cuts a beautiful swath through the city. I adored wandering through the streets of the old town and along the riverbanks on this day in mid-March. I found the city to be extremely well-preserved and there were surprises around every corner. While this may not be a common destination for tourists to France, it should be. What a gem!
