Britannias are my favorite precious metal coins. The 2023 1 oz. Coronation coin, featuring King Charles III wearing the crown, is an absolute beauty. It's a coin I wanted to add to my collection the moment I saw it issued last year.
As I talk about in the video, I've found Britannias tend to have the lowest over spot fees over other coins like the American Eagles and Canadian Maple Leafs. They are .9999 purity, which gives them a nice luster. Finally, their design is magnificent and intricate. Overall, Britannias are a great value, and a perfect coin to add to your collection.
The British mint only made 10,000 Britannia 1 oz. gold Coronation coins, and 200,000 of the 1 oz. silver coins. Many exchanges show them being out of stock, but there are some UK exchanges that seem to have them, as of this posting.
