[ Ссылка ] Our review of Fastway's Evolution 4 footpegs. And a long term review of the Fastway Adventure footpegs. I've got big feet and these footpegs are extra long and wide. Two? They are the most adjustable footpegs on the market. Some adventure motorbikes come with reasonably good footpegs. Our long term review of the Fastway adventure footpegs. I've been using these on adventure bikes for the past six years. Some like the DR650 come with these tiny footpegs that can actually be a bit dangerous, depending on the size of your boot, and the sort of riding you do. And these footpegs are adjustable in three different ways. And soon, our Fastway Evolution 4 footpegs review. First? You can adjust the camber by turning this screw. And a few motorbikes like the DR650 have footpegs that can be too high for riders of even average height. What else? Fastway Adventure footpegs are made in the USA. I know there are cheap Chinese copies of footpegs flooding the market but I don't want my footpegs snapping at the worst possible moment. Second. You can use different sized cleats to adjust the amount of grip you want. If you often ride in wet or muddy conditions, use taller cleats in your Fastway Adventure footpegs. If you like to minimise wear of your boot soles, then use the smallest cleats. I always use the smallest cleats. These still offer good grip but there's very little wear for the boot soles. And when you look at the cost of resoling boots, Fastway Adventure footpegs can save quite a bit of money over the years. Third. And if you stop adventure riding, sell these footpegs separately! I'm always surprised that many riders just sell their motorbikes with so much bling... and it rarely adds much value to the motorbike. And finally... If these footpegs are too long and wide, Fastway do make a range of smaller footpegs that may suit. My brother bought the Evolution 4 footpegs for his DR650. These are smaller, but still substantially bigger than the tiny factory footpegs. You can mount this collar on top of the footpeg which lowers the footpeg and moves it rearward as well. This is great for taller riders like me who feel cramped on any motorbike. Okay, that's all the good stuff. Are there any negative points? The Fastway Adventure footpegs are seriously wide footpegs. If you ever find yourself in a deep rut they will obviously hit sooner than small footpegs will. And if you leg paddle in tough terrain, you obviously will need to keep your legs a bit wider than usual to avoid hitting the footpegs. The cost of Fastway Evolution 4 footpegs? Expensive! These are around US$270 so they really need to be considered as a long term investment. They can be swapped from motorbike to motorbike. You may just need to buy different collars to ensure a proper fit, or adjust the existing collars. The Evolution 4 footpegs are designed to last indefinitely. They are the close cousin the motocross version made from alloy. But the Evolution 4 footpegs are made from stainless steel. Like the entire Fastway range, they have the three methods of adjustment and can be transferred between most motorbikes, so Fastway Evolution 4 footpegs make a good long term investment. But I figure that scenario is way beyond the concept of normal adventure riding. At US$240 these are definitely the Rolls-Royce of foot pegs, but given you can buy different collars to make them suit pretty much any adventure bike they could make a good long-term investment given how long they'll last. There are cheaper pegs but if you want ultra secure pegs with an incredible range of adjustment these would be hard to go past. Recently I did an adventure ride with a guy who has the Fastway adventure footpegs which I didn't even know existed. He raved about them so much I got them for the DR650. Good to see the usual quality stuff, good instructions.Beautiful foot pegs. And that's the first thing i noticed, that if you were pushing the bike along fast it feels incredibly ecure, and when i look down to check I was actually using the entire width of the peg at various times. I think in the long run this would have to make a difference to how long your boot souls will last. In the past, I always found my boot souls are chewed out in the middle first by the end of the foot peg, but no such problem with the Fastway foot pegs. I haven't had a chance to drag them through any mud yet but they also look as though they'll pegs.
