Occurred on March 16, 2023 / Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

"Rescued a turtle in the middle of the Pacific Ocean while fishing with friends in Mexico, near Puerto Vallarta. We expected it to be another fishing FAD but noticed something tied into it. We noticed it was a turtle and jumped in to release it. We started to remove all the line in the water but the waves were making it difficult so we picked the turtle up on the back of the boat and continued cutting the lines off. When we were finished, we release it back into the ocean and it swam away."
