Division 1 FCS Playoff Quarterfinal game. North Dakota State at Eastern Washington. Facing a 2nd down and 3 from the 17 yard line and driving to break a tie and take the lead in a tightly contested playoff game, NDSU offensive lineman #63 Austin Richard is WRONGLY flagged for a personal foul that should have gone against EWU #10 Zach Johnson after he grabbed Richards leg and pulled him down following a play that would have left NDSU with a 3rd and 1 from the 14. Instead of a flag on the appropriate player and a resulting 1st and Goal, NDSU was incorrectly flagged and faced a 3rd and 16 from the 30 yard line. NDSU gained 4 yards on 3rd down and had a 42 yard field goal blocked. It was the 2nd of 3 crucial mistakes by officials that had direct impact on the final score. NDSU eventually lost in Overtime on a video review of a fumble that was incorrectly not overturned which was the second crucial play to not be correctly overturned by booth review.
