COPYCAT PANDA EXPRESS BEIJING BEEF RECIPE | JUST LIKE TAKEOUT PANDA EXPRESS
INGREDIENTS:
1 pounds thinly sliced beef - flank or top sirloin
1 cup diced onions
1 cup diced red bell pepper
5 cloves minced garlic
3/4 cup of cornstarch
oil
Beef marinade:
Sliced beef
1 Tbsp. soy sauce
1 Tbsp. Chinese cooking wine
1/4 tsp. white pepper
1 large egg white
***Mix well and marinate for 30 minutes on countertop
SAUCE:
1/2 cup water
2 Tbsp. oyster sauce
2 Tbsp. Hoison sauce
2 Tbsp. Ketchup
1 Tbsp. rice vinegar
2 Tbsp. brown sugar
2 tsp. chili sambal - chili garlic sauce
*Mix well
Coat each piece of marinated beef with cornstarch.
Fry beef in batches for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown.
Do not over cook. Remove and drain on paper towel.
In wok/pan on med/high heat add oil, onions, bell peppers and minced garlic.
Cook and stir for 2-3 minutes.
Pour in sauce and turn heat up to high. Bring to simmer and cook for another couple minutes.
Add beef pieced in pan and stir to coat thoroughly.
Serve and enjoy.
