The thermostat is cheap part that can really ruin your day when it fails. if it fails closed then you will have a issue with over heating. Overheating can potentially cause serious damage to your vehicle. it can also fail open meaning your engine will never get up to temp. If you live in a cold climate area you will experience little to no heat.
to change the thermostat in the jeep you need to drain some coolant from the rad not all of it but enough so that it's below the thermostat. make sure it's cold otherwise you might get injured removing the radiator cap.
there is only 2 bolts to remove the housing, 2 hoses to remove and a electrical connector.
I DID A BUNCH OF OTHER WORK AT THE SAME TIME SO NO NEED TO REMOVE EVERYTHING THAT IS SHOWN IN THE VIDEO
