An intense manhunt across Chattanooga as authorities search for several heavily armed men. Those men robbed a Drug Enforcement Agent early Thursday morning and took much of his gear. Our crew saw at least one suspect in custody and the search is on to find 3 more.Hamilton County issued a 'Be on the Lookout' for 4 black males after receiving a 911 call around 3 am. The caller reported that four men in a Maroon Ford Escape shot at a DEA agent near the corner of Concord and East Brainerd road.The report says the 4 suspects then robbed the Agent of his equipment. Among items stolen more than 200 rounds of ammunition, full tactical gear and a ballistics vest.Just across the street a BP gas station with several surveillance cameras. The store manager tells me law enforcement spent the morning reviewing tape.Later that afternoon, an officer spotted the ford escape with a matching license plate near Germantown road Suspects fleeing on foot.While the Chattanooga police department did respond to the crashed Ford Escape, a spokesperson tells us that they don't have much information. One nearby business owner says he's surprised. We have a lot of traffic through this area. We have not had any problems in this area, says Harry Rogers.While all suspects are considered to be armed and dangerous, residents say they aren't afraid. Sabrena Smedley tells us I'm not concerned with my safety because I do try to use caution.Things like this happen, does it make me fearful of the area no.
