Hi folks, our second ride out this weekend (January 23rd 2023) was again in the English Lake District, this time a pretty low level ride on the well known Borrowdale Bash which essentially climbs up onto the fells and circles the whole of Derwentwater, it’s running really well now that it’s wet too.
This ride encompasses one of my favourite DH sections in the Lake District, that being Walla to Ashness, its a rutty, rocky, fast, wet DH section that ends at a gate to give you a beather then carries on again down to Ashness bridge. I absolutely love it.
Phil had what looked like a bad off on that section, but he was ok. The loud laugh you hear after the bang of his frame ona rock, believe it or not, was him! He crashes very well... Lol.
This video just covers my favourite downhill sections of the 20mile route on our E’MTB’s. We dont ride them for the uphill sections, we ride them for the DH.
Apologies for the poor stabilisation in this video, I have gone back to chest mount from chin mount to try out the Hero11s new viewing angles and didnt realise my chest harness was too loose, until I got home!
