‘Without US bombs, this war would end tomorrow’.
MEE speaks to an American in London at the national march to end the genocide in Gaza, which took place outside the US embassy, just three days before the US election.
“I call on Americans, wherever they are, to bring their protests to the doorsteps of US power. Our foreign policy is quite fascist and this is a US war against Palestine,” Max Geller from the US told us.
Protesters called out America’s role in aiding and providing bombs to Israel as it has conducted its violent assault on Gaza over the past year.
“Neither candidate is offering a vote against imperialism, and I'm not going to participate in an election in which genocide is a non-issue,” Geller added.
Directly opposite the US embassy in Battersea, London, a sign reads: “USA, this is your genocide,” beside Uncle Sam, the old man with his finger pointed in the famous World War I recruiting poster.
