In the Uzbek capital of Samarkand, Russian President Vladimir Putin has praised Chinese leader, Xi Jinping, for what he calls Beijing's 'balanced position' on the conflict with Ukraine.
This was the two leaders first face-to-face meeting since the conflict. The pair had last met in February, promising that the Russia-China relationship would be "without limits."
