Floating in the Baltinache Lagoons was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that we recommend to everyone.
We spent a full week camping out at the Atacama Desert and discovered a lot of amazing places that most travel guides don't talk about. The Hidden Baltinache Salt Lagoons, or Lagunas Baltinache, as they are known in Chile, are only 10 miles from San Pedro the Atacama and are definitely worth a visit.
