This...according to a Dutch inventor...could be a possible new way to test for COVID-19 infections.
"...if you are spreading and yelling and screaming, you are spreading tens of thousands of particles which contain coronavirus and if I take out the moisture from the coronavirus, I will have the basic coronavirus by itself and therefore it can be recognized as such."
It works like this.
A person steps into the booth...and an air purifier turns on, creating a whirlwind as existing particles are first cleaned from the air.
Once the person begins yelling...the particles get collected, dried and measured by a nanometer sizing device.
The process takes about three minutes.
Data to check the machine's effectiveness is being gathered at a site next to a coronavirus testing center on the outskirts of Amsterdam...so that those who've just had a nasal swab can make a brief stop in the windy cabinet.
