The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) has recorded an increase in sulfur dioxide emission from Taal Volcano.
PHIVOLCS said "volcanic smog" or "vog" was observed on August 2 and 3 over the Western Taal Caldera due to the volcano’s degassing.
