For the most part ST 2110 only deals with signals that are genlocked to the house sync in the broadcast facility. IPMX is based on ST 2110 and supports these synchronous signals, but IPMX also mandates support for ProAV signals that are free running like the output of a computer. Recently the IPMX Timing specification proposal went through a radical change. This presentation explores what changed and why.
