A very short trip to Worcester Shrub Hill saw an unplanned sighting of a West Midlands Railway service from Birmingham New Street in the form of 1V23 17:50 Birmingham New Street - Worcester Shrub Hill.
The four car formation was formed of an Ex Overground Class 172. 172004 and possibly soon to be East Midlands Railway liveried Class 170. 170507.
The service terminates at Worcester Shrub Hill and returns to New Street as 1M80 as the 18:50.
I wonder how long left we have of seeing Class 170’s in Worcester operating for West Midlands Railway.
