Helmut Rahn from West Germany's Deutsche Fußballmeisterschaft club Rot-Weiss Essen e. V. scored which maybe is the most important goal in the history of the German football at the end of the 1954 FIFA World Cup final to achieve the Germanic comeback and the title against the Magical Magyars of Hungary's "Aranycsapat" -the Golden Team.
The comeback is known as "The Miracle of Bern" as the German underdogs who were beaten at the beginning of the competition 8-3 by the Magyars who were the 1952 Summer Olympic champions could win the final against them after being 2-0 down in the first half in which was the only match losed by the Hungarian star team in 6 years along 42 victories and only 7 draws.
