Directed by the Polish director, Wojciech Has. The movie is about a young man going to an old dilapidated sanatorium (madhouse), where time has no meaning, to visit his father. The doctor at the sanatorium said about time there, "It all boils down to relativity", ok cool! I'll go with that, lol.

The film is very bizarre and surreal, like an adventure in surrealism. I was spellbound waiting to see what strange imagery was coming next. I'm totally amazed by it! Probably have nightmares tonight though, lol.

I did have very bizarre dreams after watching this movie, so beware, and enter the Hourglass Sanatorium at own risk, lol.

I know there's deeper meaning to be had here, but I'm not the brightest tool in the shed, so I'll have to watch it several times to try to get a grip on that. This movie can stand on imagery alone!

I believe this movie might have been the inspiration for the 1998 PC Adventure Game "Sanitarium".
